Complete Skills Solutions work across England to provide fully-funded training across various sectors. We work with a wide range of partners to identify the knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers desire in their workforce. These employer partnerships mean, after completing a skills course, learners are guided towards positive destinations. Over the years, our team have collectively supported thousands of individuals from all backgrounds to move into work, education or training.

Is the training really free?

Yes! There is no cost to you, the learner. The cost of training courses are funded through a number initiatives by Government and partner organisations. For instance, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s ‘Adult Education Budget’, People Plus and ESF Directions all offer huge support to learners.

We have a number of referral partners like Job Centre Plus, Housing Associations, Probation Services, local Community Centres and Charities. These organisations help to connect people to our training opportunities.

Am I guaranteed a job?

No. Whilst some of our skills training courses have automatic placements, others connect you to employers for guaranteed interviews. We work in partnership with the employers to identify the knowledge, skills and behaviours they require in their workforce. Therefore, you have a much higher chance of securing employment after completing a course with us. Annually, 86% of our learners secure a positive outcome, with some of our courses ending with 95% of learners securing employment.

Who is eligible for funding?

Each skills training opportunity has a different eligibility criteria. To be eligible you must meet meet age requirements, our learners must be 19-years or older. Typically for our opportunities, you must also unemployed, in receipt of benefits or earning less than £21,225 per year in Liverpool (£17,374.50 Nationally). Some of our training opportunities, such as Level 3 Diplomas, may require you to be already be employed.

Complete Skills Solutions

If your business is looking to build a motivated, qualified and skilled workforce, you’ve come to the right place. Complete Skills Solutions work in partnership with employers and recruitment agencies across England to identify workforce skills gaps. We then use our training expertise to deliver fully-funded skills courses to individuals, providing suitable and work-ready candidates to employers.

Step 1: Sign Up for a SWAP

Once a SBWA has been agreed with an employer, training provider and JobCentre Plus, the opportunity will be sent out to all local JobCentre locations.

Step 2: Open Day

Potential learners attend the Open Day, where they will hear presentations from the trainer, JobCentre Plus and the employer. They will complete an application form and have a one to one discussion with a staff member. Once the day is over, final candidates for the training will be selected.

Step 3: Pre-Employment Training

The learner will undertake sector-specific Pre-Employment Training (PET). Learners can undertake units on the Qualifications and Credit Framework. However, it is also possible for employers to deliver training without public funding.

Step 4: Work Experience Placement

A Work Experience Placement (WEP) will enable participants to develop their skills and have the opportunity to work in a real-world environment. This also provides invaluable benefit for both businesses and individuals participating in the SBWA.

Step 5: The Guaranteed Interview

A guaranteed job interview will lead to valuable interview experience and will hopefully lead to employment. There is no expectation of employment, only the promise of a fair interview for an available vacancy.

Step 6: Employment

An optional step, this will happen only if you decide to take on some or all of the learners that took place in the SBWA. This benefit is great for employers and learners. Employers stand to gain a skilled group of workers. While learners progress in their career paths!
