The Community Shop has partnered with Complete Skills Solutions to offer you a series of new short courses via our Progress Academy. Each course is designed to help boost your confidence, skills, and knowledge, as well as give you new qualifications! All of the courses under The Progress Academy complement the existing Community Shop provision, and they are designed around you and what you tell us you need the most.

Delivered in one of our community settings in Kirkdale, Beechwood or Halton, the choice is yours when it comes to what course (or courses) you would like to do. An introductory course preparing learners with personal development skills prior to Prisoner Custody Officer Training.
The course would consist of an introductory L1 qualification in Music Technology with optional progression to a Level 2 qualification, specialising in sound and music production and developing creative skills.
Who can study a course?
Everyone! The more the merrier! If you are unemployed and in receipt of state benefits (UC/ JSA/ ESA/ Income Support) or who are employed but earn less then £21,225 per year, then you are eligible to complete one or more of these courses, free of charge.
You must also be aged 19+ and live in the Liverpool City Region.
