Put together by sector specialists, we’ll teach you so much more than just the basics. We will help you to make sure you have the essential knowledge around SEND to ensure you are fully equipped to support children with special educational needs and disabilities.

While working towards your Level 3 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities we will provide you with:

  • Evidence-based techniques that have a positive impact on the long term social and emotional wellbeing of children.
  • Knowledge to enrich the wellbeing of children and young people with SEND.
  • Skills to deliver ‘outstanding’ education and care for children with a range of developmental needs and differences through a suite of SEND units.

Our programmes don’t just cover compliance, but provide genuine examples and tips that showcase practice in action through case studies and activities to empower professionals.

Unit overview:

  • Unit 1 – Development of children and young people
  • Unit 2 – Professional practice in Special Educational Needs Service
  • Unit 3 – Understand how to support children and young people to achieve learning potential
  • Unit 4 – Understand how to support children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication needs
  • Unit 5 – Understand how to support disabled children and young people with specific needs

Following completion of this course you will receive your Level 3 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The end outcome of this course is to develop your knowledge and understanding of the Understanding and to gain your Level 3 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

  • Have a Valid ID
  • Must live in Liverpool City Region – Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Halton or Wirral
