This qualification informs and guides learners working or wishing to work in express logistics.

It provides learners with an overall understanding of how goods are transported from sortation hubs to domestic and business customers. It includes planning/tracking schedules, sorting equipment/processes, and loading/unloading techniques all underpinned by the relevant H&S regulations.

After completing the course you will be guaranteed an interview with Lidl for a Warehouse Operative role in Runcorn.

We are offering a Level 1 Award In Preparing To Work In Express Logistics.

Course content includes:

  • Health and Safety
  • Introduction to Express Delivery
  • Introduction to Express Sortation Hub
  • Level 1 Award In Preparing To Work In Express Logistics.

After completing the course and achieving your Level 1 Award In Preparing To Work In Express Logistics, you will be interviewed by Lidl for a Warehouse Operative role in Runcorn.

The job role:

  • Pick a variety of products including meat, fruit, frozen and chilled items · Listen carefully to picking instructions through your headset and carry them out at pace · Make sure your deliveries are perfectly stacked and secure · Report any damaged items to your manager · Take responsibility for working through your orders independently
  • Help out in any team tasks, such as cleaning equipment and checking stock.

 

Shift patterns available – 5.30am – 2pm and 12pm – 8.30pm and nights. Must work 1 of the weekend days each week (non negotiable) £12 per hour (increased rate for nights)

 

Are you eligible?

  • Aged 19+
  • Must be a resident of the Liverpool City Region
  • If unemployed must be in receipt of state benefits (UC/JSA/ESA/Income Support)
  • If employed must be in receipt of low wages (lower than £33,958.60 and able to evidence this)
