Free training we hear you say? What’s the catch? Well, to be honest, there isn’t one. Yes, there are eligibility criteria to check, but in a nutshell, we receive funding from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to deliver training in lots of different areas. And what’s more, many of the courses are linked to local job outcomes which means at the end of the courses, those participants who pass can interview for and land a local job. Win, win right?

What areas do you offer training in?

The short answer is, loads! A longer answer requires a bit of a list (sorry, but don’t worry, there’s no test at the end). But here goes. We offer training in Construction, Barbering and Beauty, Warehousing and Logistics, Hospitality and Services, Digital Contact Centre and Health and Social Care.

Do I have to be unemployed to benefit?

Absolutely not. In fact, the eligibility criteria recently changed and you can now be earning up to £31,600.40 per year and STILL access this training for free.

How long do the courses last?

They vary in length depending on the subject area and the level. Some of our short courses are a few days or a couple of weeks long, with you studying for a few hours each day. Others last longer if it’s a higher level qualification. We offer a range of online and face-to-face training though, and our tutors are really supportive to help you get the most from your training course.

How am I supported to complete the course?

Our team are all really friendly and down-to-earth and they really know their stuff when it comes to the subjects we deliver. We mix up our delivery to include some practical aspects where applicable to the course.

We can also support you by lending you the tech you need to complete the course (if studying online) and can help you speak to the likes of your Job Coach to get support with the costs of travel to your training site. Most of our training is delivered in high-street locations across the City Region.

What do I get at the end?

Once you successfully complete the course, you will be sent your certificate of completion. If the training course is also linked to a local job opportunity, we will help you get ready for that interview. Regardless of whether it’s linked to a job or not, all our courses include the likes of CV writing and interview skills, so you can brush up on your own ‘sell’ and impress at your next interview.

What makes you different from the rest?

It might sound cliché, but we honestly think our personality and our genuine desire to help you is what makes it different. Our team are a great bunch of people who just want the best for our learners, and right from the start, they’ll treat you with respect. We support people of all abilities, ages and backgrounds and to us, you’ll never be just a number. We take the time to get to know you and understand why you want to get involved with our training, and if it isn’t the right fit, we’ll help sign-post you to other opportunities.

We are really excited to be working with The Community Shop to offer all of our learners’ access to their membership once you’ve completed the course. That means discounted food shops for you! Also, some of our courses are now delivered out of one of their venues and if you attend one of these, you’ll also get discounted food on-site.

How do I get involved?

Our courses start all the time in different locations. The easiest way to check out what we have coming up is to visit the courses section of our website here: https://completeskillssolutions.co.uk/training/.
