Tackling your skills shortages head-on

If you have a skills shortage in your business and want to bring in new talent or upskill your existing, we can help you via our fully funded (subject to eligibility) training offer. We work closely with you to understand your business needs, build a delivery plan around this and then source your potential new recruits. We simply ask you to be available for the likes of our open days so you can tell potential recruits about your business and the opportunities, as well as offering guaranteed interviews for those who successfully complete the training. 

Step 1: Sign-up to our Recruitment and Training Service

You’ve got to be in it, to win it, so they say. So first-up, you need to register your interest for our Recruitment and Training Service. We’ll need to know the roles you have available that need filling, check out the job description and then we’ll build a course to meet your need.

Step 2: Recruitment

Once we have all the details we need, we get cracking with recruiting learners onto our pre-employment course. We tap into our extensive network, as well as our own socials and databases to support us with this and before signing them up, we invite our learners to an Open Day. Here, they find out more about the opportunity and sign them up to the course. You are welcome to send a representative to this day too.

Step 3: Pre-Employment Training

The learner will undertake a sector-specific Pre-Employment Training (PET) course that tends to last a couple of weeks. During this time, we are equipping our learners and your future recruits with new skills, knowledge and of course, the qualifications they need to get started in your sector.

Step 4: The Guaranteed Interview

We ask that every employer who takes advantage of this service offers an interview for live roles within your organisation. Not only does this give our learners valuable interview experience, but we hope it leads to them landing a job with you. There is no expectation of employment, only the promise of a fair interview for an available vacancy and if the learner impresses you, you give them an opportunity to come on board.

Step 5: Employment

An optional step, this will happen only if you decide to take on some or all the learners who successfully completed the course and impressed throughout it. This benefit is great for employers and learners. Employers stand to gain a skilled group of workers. While learners progress in their career paths!
