Delivering skills training to meet local demand

Many of our short courses are funded via the Adult Skills Fund, which is administered via the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA). We are one of a number of providers to have a direct contract with the authority to deliver a range of short courses. We have held a contract with LCRCA since Liverpool was devolved and are proud to be one of the leading providers across the City Region.

Our skills training is aligned to the local skills shortages and labour demand. Our intent is to provide a curriculum that is developed in partnership with employers to support social mobility. As such, many of our short courses have guaranteed job interviews for successful learners – enabling them to jump to the top of the candidate pool.

By offering an employer led training solution, we are able to remain current and ensure that our learners are offered a rounded training experience, which is designed to equip them with industry specific skills as well as transferrable soft skills.

Adult Skills Training

Our training is aligned to the Liverpool City Regions’ Skills Strategy (2018-2023), which was developed following detailed analysis and extensive stakeholder engagement.

Our short sector specific courses are funded via the Adult Skills Fund.

We take the time to understand what our learner wants from their training, as well as their existing skills and qualifications.

All our curriculums support learners to develop knowledge and skills beyond purely academic, technical, and vocational activities. They are also supported   to become active and engaged citizens and prepare them for modern Britain, which includes teaching them how to protect themselves from radicalisation, extremist views and keeping themselves safe from harm. We don’t want to just provide training or certificates, we believe in creating life-changing opportunities by giving our learners a holistic training experience.
