Head of MIS at Complete Skills Solutions, Andrew Houldey, has recently joined around 4,500 motorbikes for the Ride To The Wall. This an annual road trip, which finishes up at the Nation Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire, pays tribute to Britian’s fallen.
Andrew, whose son has just celebrated 13 years in the Army, was joined by his daughter and approximately 12,000 other riders at this year’s event. Now in its 16th year, the event has grown to include 11 starting points, with Andrew and his daughter joining from Knutsford Services. From here alone, an estimated 370 bikes joined the annual pilgrimage which to date, has raised £1.35 million for the Nation Memorial Arboretum.
Andrew, who has been with Complete Skills Solutions since 2022 said:
“As a family with a serving member of the Armed forces, events like these are close to my heart. Not only do they allow thousands of people the opportunity to pay their respects to those who have sadly lost their lives in the line of duty, but many families like ours also see it as a way to celebrate and commend our Armed forces and those working within them.
“This is something close to my heart, and one of the motivating factors when joining Complete Skills Solutions as they are Silver members of the Armed Forced Covenant. It was refreshing to join an organisation who share my passion for supporting the ex-military to re-integrate as easily as possible.”
Complete Skills Solutions are always looking for ways to support ex-military personnel. From forging partnerships with charities whose primary aim is to support veterans such as The Standing Tall Foundation (who are also a former Charity of the Year or Complete Skills Solutions), to running courses with partners that are aimed directly at ex-military. CSS’s commitment to the ex-forces remains as strong as Andrew’s.
