If you are looking to lay the foundations for a career in construction, look no further. This free course, running in Warrington, will provide a comprehensive introduction to the dangers of working with asbestos. By signing up to this course, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, putting you in a strong position when seeking a job working in the sector. You will also learn more about domestic retrofit, which is the introduction of new materials, products and technologies into an existing building to reduce the energy needed to occupy that building, which is an emerging and in-demand specialist skill for construction.

This short training course will equip you with the entry level knowledge, skills, and qualifications you need to get started in the construction industry upon completion. The mix of practical and classroom learning really hammers home your new skills. And what’s more,we will even cover the costs of your CSCS card upon successful completion, giving you the tools you need to lay your new career.

 

As well as working towards your qualification in construction this course will also cover:

  • Health and Safety in the Construction Industry
  • Working in the Construction Industry
  • Working in a Group
  • Working Towards Goals
  • Interview Skills for the Construction Industry
  • Effective communication skills
  • Entry 3 or above English and Maths

You will work towards gaining the following qualification(s) from this course:

  • Level 1 Award in Building and Construction
  • Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in Construction Environment
  • Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit
  • Level 2 Award in Asbestos Awareness

At the end of your course, we will provide you with a voucher so you can arrange your CSCS card test with Pearsons, and as long as you pass, you will be issued with your card to be able to start working on sites.

Once you have successfully completed this training, we will arrange for you to have an interview with Ionic / Vistry / Quinn for one of their live roles in Construction.
