Leading Adult Education and Training provider, Complete Skills Solutions (CSS), has achieved the ‘Silver Award’ under the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme.
The Scheme encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same, it encompasses three awards: bronze, silver, and gold. Each award is available to employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
In 2021, CSS signed the Armed Forces Covenant and pledged to acknowledge that the brave individuals who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.
Soon after signing the covenant, CSS was awarded the ‘Bronze Award’ for making huge strides to support individuals who have served in the armed forces. CSS continued to develop bespoke offers that would support veterans to secure great jobs and reintegrate into society.

“At CSS we are committed to supporting ex-servicemen and women to retrain and re-settle. Over the last few years, we have made huge strides to develop our service offering to be inclusive and cater for the needs of those individuals.
“We have ambitious plans that we see up bolster the level of support we offer to veterans.”
Most recently, CSS partnered with Complete Training Solutions (CTS), to deliver a trailblazing Green Energy Skills Bootcamp. The Skills Bootcamp offered eligible learners the chance to gain the technical qualifications needed for the renewables industry. Learners were then given the opportunity to work with CSS tutors to develop their CVs and improve their interview techniques.
Part of the first cohort of learners, was Andy Roberts, a veteran who served 10 years in the military. Andy successfully completed the course and secured employment with a leading engineering company, Windtex.
