After working in a warehousing environment, Adam, aged 37 from Liverpool was quick to jump at the chance to re-train in a new sector after seeing the opportunity being promoted online.
Adam, who signed up to a Construction course with the Liverpool headquartered training provider was able to access the course via government funds, meaning he could re-train for free. After achieving his qualifications in Construction and Health & Safety, and successfully passing his exam to obtain his CSCS card, Adam had the foundations he needed for a solid career in construction!
Adam said:
“I thought the course was easy to access and the staff were very friendly and approachable. It’s helped me gain access to the construction industry and trebled my yearly income.”
Adam is one of 242 learners to have undertaken a construction course with Complete Skills Solutions (CSS) between September 2022 – August 2023, with the training organisation boasting an impressive 92% achievement rate. The course runs on a regular basis, often with links to local job opportunities at the end for those who successfully complete the course.
When asked if he would recommend CSS, Adam said:
“Yes, I would and have recommended this course to people. I tell them that the course is very quick and easy to access and that you get your CSCS card once you have passed.”
Construction courses are just one of several courses offered by the adult training provider, with warehousing, contact center, barbering and beauty and hospitality also all on offer. Through the Adult Education Budget, CSS supports individuals who are either not in work or who earn less than £31,600.40 per year to retrain or upskill. Via their close links to local employers, many of their courses have access to job opportunities via a guaranteed interview. Adam is just one of 858 individuals to benefit from training via CSS in the last year alone.
